WHAT YOU NEED IS A BUSINESS COACH

Small to medium size business owners often use a Coach to improve their productivity and image. In Network Marketing, a coach should be available at odd times that may not be condusive to an upline mentor's availability or limited to just business problems. Sometimes a problem has to do with one's personal life.

A Business Coach for a Network Marketer needs to understand the proclivities of Network Marketing and the Marketing Plan before providing guidance, support, and motivation. An upline sponsor and leadership function differently than a business coach, mostly because they don't have the time to work closely with the person. Often an upline's motive is to inspire by hype and enthusiasm to pump up a person when what he/she really needs is someone who works on a different premise than their upline.

In this complex society, it is easy to become side-tracked on things that have no real importance in our business pursuits. A good coach will identify this situation and steer the client back to where he or she needs to be. Understanding their client well on a personal level helps the coach know when the problem is fear based, principle and character based, or lack of education and skill. In which case, a coach will know exactly how to meet the needs of their client. For example, when the coach understands their client's vision, dreams, aspirations,goals, and commitment level, it is easier to guide him or her through the challenges of life.

A good Business Coach can help their clients improve their sales and marketing strategy, and is useful in helping their client deal with management and team building. A Good Coach knows their clients well enough to be honest with them and tell the what they need to hear, and not necessarily what they want to hear.

I am a Network Marketing Coach and also a Life Coach. I have worked with people that are dreamers and need direction that keeps them focused and pointed in the right direction. Others are CEO's and need little explaination because they are quick in applying the advice once they get it. The business is not so unique that a Coach cannot help the client if he or she doesn't completely undersand the functions of the busines. The Coach only needs to understand the problem and not be intimidated by the status of the CEO.

The principles that affect a person's productivity and image basically boil down to the following six areas:

1. Self-esteme and Self-worth,
2. Fear of a specific function (such as cold contacting prospects)
3. Lack of confidence and experience
4. Lack of education and product knowlege
5. Personal problems that prevent focusing on the business
6. Character, ethics, and dishonesty
